Hope in Action: Empowering Communities

Dear Friend,

Thanks to your support, we've expanded our programs and reached even more communities, improving the lives of 115,731 people. Below are some of the key highlights from the year so far.

Food Program

Our food program, supported by ACCESO and CORE Response, has been a vital lifeline for 90 communities. It provides weekly meals to 7,070 people, including 5,534 children. Every week, over 3.5 tons of fresh vegetables and fruits are distributed to ensure families have access to nutritious food.

Health and Hygiene Initiatives

We've been proud to partner with Direct ReliefBriutcare, and Colgate to improve health and hygiene in vulnerable communities. With their support, we distributed over 3,071 lbs of medical supplies to 40 institutions, benefiting 15,503 people.

Our health campaigns provided essential health checkups, hygiene products, and educational talks, reaching 61,763 people.

Water for All

Through our Center for Disaster Philanthropy partnership, we delivered 1,470,000 liters of clean water to communities in the Mara region. This program has provided more than 30,300 people with access to safe drinking water, improving health and sanitation.

Agroecology Program

Global Giving's support has been key to the growth of our small Agroecology Program.

At Mirabello Farm, we harvested 4,289 kg of grapes this year, benefiting the community by providing a sustainable food source and income.

Education and Music Programs

Our Tepichi Talashi School continues to provide education for 345 children, with meals, school supplies, and extracurricular activities enhancing their learning experience, thanks to the support of Frank Giustra, the Giustra Foundation, and other generous donors. Our Nucleo Wayuu Taya Program for 'El Sistema' and Music Heals initiatives allow more than 300 children and youth to explore music.

These young talents learn orchestral and ancestral music with instruments and supplies provided while enjoying a safe, supportive environment. Furthermore, 750 children are enrolled in the ancestral music program, which plays a vital role in preserving the Wayuu language and culture through traditional songs and storytelling.

Infrastructure Development

We've been hard at work improving our facilities. Thanks to the generous support of CORE Response, a new bathroom unit at Tepichi Talashi School is under construction, and upgrades are being made at our Apuna Farm office.

Thank You to Our Partners, Volunteers, and Donors

None of this would have been possible without the incredible contributions from our partners, volunteers, and donors. Your ongoing support has made a difference, and we are so grateful for your commitment to our mission. We are bringing hope, health, and opportunity to the people who need it most.

Let's keep working together to create lasting change!
